WELCOME TO A TINY STORY.
It is here that I hope to tell the story of a girl (me!), who despite complete lack financial resources and experience builds her very own tiny (240 sq. ft.!) house on a trailer. Whether this dream is realized or not, the story is sure to be a good one—so be sure to follow the story below!
But, how? you ask?
To keep costs down (as in dirt cheap) I plan on using as many second-hand and reclaimed materials as I possible, so resources like Craigslist and Habitat for Humanity restores are invaluable! (but I will get into that later) The rest will consist of a huge, and I mean huge, learning curve. I took a wood shop class in high school (6 years ago) and have helped on little home improvement projects, but when it comes to building a house (framing, plumbing, electricity, etc.), I am essentially starting from scratch.
So, when it comes to down to it, my main assets are most definitely my tenacity, and people-
I am also blessed with some awesome family and friends who never fail to support and encourage me; a blessing that I don't take lightly. Friends, family, and the people I along the way meet--they are certainly part of the story, too.
All that to say, if I can do it, then anyone can!
Be sure to follow my blog to watch the project develop!
